Stemmler's Meat & Cheese
 

 

Ingredients

 

2 Tbsp Olive Oil

1 Small Onion (finely chopped)

1 Shallot (finely chopped)

1 Garlic Clove (minced)

1 Tbsp Stemmler’s Smokin Good Sauce

1 Cup Sour Cream

2 Sprigs Fresh Thyme

1 Tbsp Lemon Juice (fresh squeezed)

1 Tbsp Chives (finely chopped - optional)

Sea Salt/Pepper   

                                                                                     

Instructions 

Makes 500ml (Prep time: 10 minutes  Cook time: 40 minutes  Chill time: 2 hours)


Heat oil in a pan then add onion, thyme, and shallot. Saute for 2 minutes then turn the heat down to low, stirring occasionally until golden brown (30 min).  Add garlic and Smokin Good Sauce then cook another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and discard the thyme. Let cool In a bowl, mix the sour cream, lemon juice, salt & pepper and chives (if using), as well as the cooled onion/shallot mixture. Stir and combine, chill further then serve with your favorite chips or veggies. 


Note: To save time, purchase your favorite French Onion DIp and stir in 1 Tbsp of Smokin Good Sauce
